Elon Musk has unveiled Grokipedia, his latest venture which aims to be a formidable competitor to Wikipedia. Debuted via social media as version 0.1, Musk promises a full-scale release that will surpass current offerings.
Grokipedia is designed with a minimalist interface and boasts 885,279 articles, significantly fewer than Wikipedia's 7 million. However, Musk claims it offers “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Users can delve into topics ranging from Taylor Swift to Buckingham Palace.
The encyclopedia's architecture reportedly relies on xAI, the same tech behind Musk's Grok chatbot. Despite some content appearing sourced from Wikipedia, Grokipedia criticizes its predecessor's alleged political biases, looking to provide a more unbiased narrative.
