Kevin Pietersen has voiced strong support for Jacob Bethell, encouraging the young England batter to remain in India and seek opportunities within the Indian Premier League. His backing comes after Alastair Cook, another former England captain, suggested Bethell should return to England to enhance his skills in county cricket.

Pietersen dismissed Cook's remarks, emphasizing the benefits of being part of the IPL environment. 'Alastair Cook has absolutely no idea of the unique exposure and learning opportunities the IPL offers, even for those not on the pitch,' Pietersen stated in his message.

Bethell, praised for his promising prowess, reiterated his commitment to gaining from the tournament's atmosphere. Despite criticism, he maintains that the IPL's high-caliber setting inherently elevates performance, which could be pivotal for his long-term career as an England test cricketer.
