The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is negotiating with the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation for the construction of a new stadium in Jeddah. The project has secured preliminary approval from the PCB's Governing Board.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is spearheading discussions aimed at promoting cricket in the Kingdom, with prospects of hosting Pakistan Super League matches. A formal agreement, however, has yet to be signed, as the search for a suitable location continues.
Saudi officials, keen on developing their cricket infrastructure, approached the PCB. This interest aligns with Saudi Arabia's ambition to establish a T20 league, reflecting a growing enthusiasm for cricket in the region, which follows the UAE's lead as a cricketing hub.
