KL Rahul's impressive run against Mumbai Indians pacer Deepak Chahar came to an unexpected halt during a riveting Indian Premier League match held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Prior to this face-off, Rahul had accumulated 160 runs from 103 balls across 13 innings without ever being dismissed by Chahar, achieving a striking strike rate of 155.3. This phenomenal record made him the top scorer against a bowler in IPL history without losing his wicket.
However, in a turn of events, Rahul was dismissed by Chahar for the first time during the match, halting his undefeated spree against the bowler. Rahul's previous record of 160 runs against Chahar remains the most runs scored by a batter in IPL without being dismissed. The Delhi opener was out for just one run as they chased Mumbai's target of 163.
Mumbai Indians, led by Suryakumar Yadav in the absence of an ailing Hardik Pandya, set a competitive target of 163. Yadav's 51 off 36 balls, supported by Rohit Sharma's 35 and Naman Dhir's quick 28, helped MI reach their total. The Capitals, at 73/3 after 10 overs, needed 90 more runs to claim victory.
