India's Shyam Sunder Swami Hits Bronze at World Archery Para Series

Shyam Sunder Swami clinched a bronze medal for India in a thrilling contest at the World Archery Para Series by edging past teammate and Paris Paralympic bronze medalist Rakesh Kumar.

Swami emerged victorious 143 (10*) to 143 (9) in a tightly contested match. The bronze medal match in the men's compound event was decided in a nail-biting tie-breaker after both competitors ended with identical scores. Kumar, who was part of a mixed team bronze win at the Paris Paralympics, concluded the event in fourth place after a shoot-off heartbreak.

Meanwhile, in the W1 women's individual event, Anjum Tanwar also finished fourth, losing 2-6 to a competitor from the Republic of Korea. This event follows the Asia Cup first leg at the same venue, where India garnered ten medals, including two golds. However, Kazakhstan topped the overall standings.
