Alpine Slams Online Abuse Amid Sabotage Controversy in Formula One

Renault-owned Alpine condemned online abuse against their Argentine Formula One driver Franco Colapinto following an incident in Japan, alongside death threats directed at the team's former racer Esteban Ocon in China.

The team refuted fan suspicions of ‘sabotage’ and inequitable treatment of Colapinto compared to teammate Pierre Gasly. The incident saw a crash involving Oliver Bearman at Suzuka, who collided with barriers while avoiding Colapinto's slower car.
