The action-packed second day of the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship in Ranchi unfolded with Goans Hockey clinching a notable 6-3 victory over Telangana in Division 'C'. Captain Dellina Mendes and Bertila Kerketta led the charge, each contributing crucial goals to secure the win.
In Division 'B' pool matches, Hockey Bengal narrowly edged past Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu Hockey with Captain Puja Kumari Shaw's defining goal in the second quarter. The closely contested match showcased strategic prowess and determination on the field.
Elsewhere, Hockey Chandigarh delivered a dominant performance, overpowering Hockey Gujarat 12-1, driven by Captain Kafi's four-goal spree. Meanwhile, Hockey Uttarakhand showcased their strength with a 6-1 victory against Hockey Karnataka, highlighted by Kareena's early hat-trick.
