Cricket Controversy: Younis Khan Defends Naseem Shah Against PCB's Hefty Fine

In a notable controversy, former Pakistan cricket captain Younis Khan has voiced his discontent over the hefty fine levied by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on fast bowler Naseem Shah. The disciplinary committee fined Shah 20 million rupees for his allegedly inappropriate social media remarks about Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. 

Younis Khan argued that the punishment was excessively harsh, considering Shah had apologized and terminated his social media manager responsible for the post. Khan believes that a warning could have been more appropriate, stressing that such strict measures could demoralize players.

After the incident, the PCB introduced new guidelines for centrally and domestically contracted players, insisting on board clearance before posting on social media. Political content is strictly prohibited and violators face significant financial penalties.
