Dahiya represented India in 19 ODIs and two Tests and had a notable domestic career with Delhi. He transitioned successfully into coaching, leading Delhi to a Ranji Trophy victory in the 2007–08 season and building a respected coaching career in domestic cricket and the IPL.
This appointment comes on the heels of the addition of Australian batting icon Matthew Hayden as batting coach, illustrating the franchise's commitment to success.
