In the women's 54kg category, Joyshree achieved a dominant victory through an Referee Stopped Contest in the second round against her opponent from Tajikistan. Competing in the Youth Olympic weight categories, the Indian team sees this event as a significant step towards Olympic qualification. Last year, Indian youth boxers showcased a historic performance at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, winning seven medals, including four golds, two silvers, and a bronze. As the preliminary rounds continue, the Indian contingent aims to build on their successful start.
