South African cricket legend Dale Steyn has stirred the pot ahead of the T20 World Cup final on Sunday, suggesting that New Zealand could inherit the 'chokers' tag should they fall to India in Ahmedabad.
New Zealand, who reached the summit clash by defeating South Africa in Kolkata, have faced similar situations before, having come up short in finals multiple times, including the 2019 50-over World Cup and the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Steyn conveyed his sentiments during a chat with AB de Villiers, emphasizing that India remains the favorite unless an unprecedented choke transpires.
