Lakshya Sen Storms Into All England Open Semifinals

In a commanding performance, India's Lakshya Sen stormed into the semifinals of the All England Open, defeating former champion Li Shifeng of China in straight games. The world No. 12 Indian rallied to a 21-13, 21-16 victory in exactly an hour, setting up a last-four clash against Canada's Victor Lai.

Sen, who was the runner-up in the 2022 edition, said, "I'm happy with the way I played both sets, and credit to Shifeng for playing a solid game." He acknowledged the challenging long rallies and said he was ready to recover in order to perform well in his upcoming match.

Despite momentary struggles against Shifeng's crosscourt smashes, Sen maintained control and momentum, keeping a comfortable lead throughout. His exceptional defensive skills and intense energy allowed him to seal the match in an authoritative victory.
