Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar engaged with the Mumbai Ranji team on Wednesday, providing motivation as they prepare for their quarter-final clash against Karnataka at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Ground, BKC, starting February 6. The interaction, shared by the Mumbai Cricket Association on Instagram, took place in the team's dressing room.

This pivotal meeting came as Mumbai entered the knockouts with confidence, having topped Elite Group D. Their rivals, Karnataka, secured their position with a nail-biting victory over Punjab. Due to the unavailability of Wankhede Stadium, which will host the T20 World Cup from February 7, the high-stakes match has been moved to the MCA-BKC Ground, evoking excitement in domestic cricket circles.

Leading the Mumbai squad is India all-rounder Shardul Thakur, returning to captaincy post-injury, while Yashasvi Jaiswal, fresh from international duties, strengthens the batting lineup. The team aims to clinch a record 43rd Ranji Trophy. Tendulkar previously virtually encouraged the India U19 team before their decisive World Cup match against Pakistan, which they won by 58 runs.
