Lindsey Vonn is persisting through adversity as she prepares to compete in the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, starting this week, despite a significant knee injury.
Following a crash in Switzerland that resulted in a completely ruptured ACL and other damage, Vonn has undergone rigorous physical therapy and is now back on her skis, rehabbing her left knee with the goal of being able to race competitively.
Despite her age and recent obstacles, the American skiing icon has been leading the circuit this season, making a remarkable return to form after an extended break from the sport.
