Shardul Thakur, the seasoned Indian all-rounder, remains hopeful for a return to white-ball cricket, with his eyes set on the 2027 ODI World Cup. Recently part of India's Test tour in England, Thakur finds himself eager to reclaim his spot in the nation’s one-day and T20 squads.
At 34, Thakur has shown immense versatility by representing India in 47 ODIs, 25 T20Is, and 13 Test matches. His last white-ball appearance was during the 2023 ODI World Cup against Bangladesh, yet he remains committed to playing match-winning innings to secure a place in future line-ups.
Thakur emphasized his readiness to answer India’s call whenever needed, maintaining a rigorous preparation regimen. Meanwhile, he also confirmed that fellow player Yashasvi Jaiswal will feature for Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan. Thakur also reflected on Mumbai's challenging draw with Chhattisgarh, citing the tough playing conditions.
