Daring Rescue: Australian Paraglider Saved After 20-Hour Ordeal

An Australian paraglider crashed near Seven Sisters Peak in Manali, India, at 13,500 feet and was rescued after 20 hours, officials confirmed. The paraglider, identified as 51-year-old Andy from Australia, is believed to have been affected by air pressure and bad weather conditions, officials said Tuesday.
Another paraglider pilot flying alongside Andy witnessed the incident and promptly notified the rescue team, leading to a swift response from the rescue forces.
A rescue team was dispatched immediately to reach Andy, who was trapped on a precarious ledge. He was successfully retrieved with a chopper's assistance, as stated by Ramesh Kumar Jogi of the Manali Adventure Tour Association. Andy is now receiving hospital treatment and is out of danger.
