Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira has been fined £15,000 following a dramatic incident in which he kicked a spare match ball into the dugout during their 1-1 clash with Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month.
The incident occurred around the 19th minute, resulting in Pereira receiving a red card. The Football Association reported that the ball struck the Sky Sports floor manager, leading to quick apologies from both Pereira and his assistant, Luis Miguel.
Pereira issued a public apology during a press conference, expressing regret for his emotional outburst. "Football is emotional, and so am I, but that behavior was unacceptable," said Pereira, vowing it would not happen again.
