The Kolkata Thunderbolts celebrated Diwali with a thrilling victory over the Hyderabad Black Hawks, emerging victorious 15–9, 15–13, 9–15, 15–13 in the RR Kabel Prime Volleyball League held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad.

Pankaj Sharma's outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match title as the Thunderbolts moved to sixth place with nine points, rekindling their playoff aspirations. Team Director Sumedh Patodia lauded the team's determination and the strategic acumen of Head Coach Naser Shahnazi.

Despite an aggressive start from the Hawks, with setter Preet Karan expertly maneuvering passes, Kolkata's defense, anchored by Pankaj Sharma and Muhammad Iqbal, thwarted Hyderabad's attacks.
