Vietnam and South Korea Forge High-Tech Partnership Amid Rising Global Challenges

Vietnam's leader To Lam will welcome South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Wednesday, marking their second meeting in less than a year. With aspirations to enhance its high-tech sector, Vietnam counts on South Korea, its top investor, for support.

The two countries are set to sign at least a dozen governmental agreements and aim to increase their bilateral trade to $150 billion by 2030. Last year’s trade between the countries reached $89.5 billion, as reported by the Vietnamese government.

Lee emphasized bolstering collaborative efforts in areas like nuclear power, infrastructure, and technological innovation, while addressing the Korean community in Vietnam. South Korea remains a key investor as Vietnam seeks advancement in semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence.
