A significant conflagration erupted at a shoe warehouse close to the Kherki Daula toll plaza on Tuesday evening, inciting widespread alarm, according to a fire department official. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, though the cause of the fire remains unknown.
Thick black smoke was visible from several kilometers as the inferno blazed on. Numerous fire brigade units swarmed the location, with the situation now reported under control. Fire Officer Narendra Kumar noted the presence of substantial rubber and other flammable materials, indicating that extinguishing efforts would continue for some time.
The fire started around 5.30 pm at an Idea Craft Venture Private Limited warehouse near Kherki Daula toll. Within moments, the blaze engulfed the entire structure, visible far beyond its immediate vicinity. Fire crews from nearby stations, including Sector 37, Bhim Nagar, Sohna, Pataudi, Sector 29, and Haldirams', rushed to contain the spread. After a gruelling three-hour battle, officials confirmed the fire was under control, although ongoing challenges persist due to materials igniting so readily.
