Massive Blaze Renders Many Homeless in Kanwani Village

A massive fire caused by sparking in overhead high-tension wires engulfed over 150 shanties in Kanwani village on Thursday. Local officials confirmed no casualties, although many now find themselves homeless.

Authorities quickly responded to the crisis, setting up a relief camp at Arya Public School, which will provide essential services to the displaced. The camp will feed approximately 1,000 people, with additional resources including potable water tankers and mobile toilets stationed at the site.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the district administration to offer all necessary assistance to affected families, emphasizing immediate recovery efforts. Police forces have been deployed for regular patrolling to maintain order in the area.
