Tragedy Strikes: Seven Killed in Indore Electric Car Charging Explosion

A tragic incident unfolded in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, when a fire broke out at an electric car charging point, claiming seven lives. The devastating fire, intensified by exploding cooking gas cylinders, occurred early Wednesday morning in the Brajeshwari Annex Colony, officials reported.

The incident began when an electric car being charged outside a three-storey house experienced an explosion. The police revealed that the fire's intensity was further increased by additional explosions from gas cylinders within the residence. The use of electronic locks on the house's doors posed significant challenges for rescue operations.

Authorities, including Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh, noted the difficulty in accessing the scene and rescuing trapped individuals. While three people inside the house were successfully rescued, efforts continue to search for a missing child. The deceased bodies were transported to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, where two survivors initially received treatment before opting for further care elsewhere.
