Incident Near Strait of Hormuz: Container Vessel Struck by Projectile Fragments
The Liberia-flagged container vessel 'Source Blessing,' managed by German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd and chartered to Maersk, was struck by projectile fragments near the Strait of Hormuz. In a concerning development near the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz, the Liberia-flagged container vessel 'Source Blessing' was struck by projectile fragments, according to German shipping giant Hapag-Lloyd.
The vessel, which is under a time-charter agreement to Danish shipping powerhouse Maersk, was not directly hit but managed to catch fire as a result of the incident. Fortunately, the well-prepared crew onboard successfully extinguished the fire and ensured all personnel remained unharmed, according to Hapag-Lloyd's emailed statement.
