Powerful Quake Strikes off Vanuatu's Coast
A 6.32 magnitude earthquake hit off the northern coast of Vanuatu, reported the German Research Centre for Geosciences. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 km. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center confirmed no tsunami threat from the event.
An earthquake measuring 6.32 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of northern Vanuatu, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) on Friday.
The earthquake's epicenter was registered at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), the GFZ reported.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center assured that there is no tsunami threat stemming from this seismic activity.
