The Punjab government's long-anticipated four-laning of the Nangal-Kiratpur Sahib road is finally set in motion, according to Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. The project promises enhanced safety and economic vitality, addressing what Bains describes as a 'long-cherished public demand.'

Land acquisition is expected to be completed within two months, with the tender process and construction to follow promptly. Bains highlighted the importance of this infrastructure development, especially for the accident-prone Nangal-Ganguwal stretch, as it serves daily commuters and religious pilgrims.

Bains emphasized the project's significance in boosting economic growth by improving access to markets for about 100 surrounding villages. He assured that the groundwork, initiated in July 2022, is progressing efficiently with the final notification and land records now published.
