A tragic incident unfolded in Thane city as a fire erupted in an apartment at the Prathamesh Apartment block, leading to the death of a resident. The unfortunate event took place on Wednesday evening around 9.45 pm, authorities revealed.
Sachin Nikam, the flat owner, sustained severe burns and was immediately transported to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival. Firefighters had managed to extinguish the blaze by 10.10 pm, taking swift action after being alerted.
The fire severely damaged various household items, including electrical wiring and ceiling fans. While the specific cause remains unknown, an official inquiry is underway as authorities strive to uncover the origins of this devastating event.
