The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is set to revolutionize water supply for horticultural purposes across Delhi. In a recent proposal, DJB announced its plan to deliver treated water from the Yamuna Vihar sewage treatment plant to 90 designated locations, including parks and water bodies.

During a high-level meeting, DJB's proposal to utilize treated water and establish a pipeline network gained approval. Targeting 74 parks and 16 water bodies governed by the Delhi Development Authority, the board intends to boost green infrastructure with an estimated Rs 45 crore budget.

To execute the project, DJB will collaborate with agencies like the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Public Works Department (PWD). The project involves a detailed survey and design validation from institutions like IIT and DTU, promising to address water scarcity in several parts of the city.
