The storm is positioned approximately 315 miles south-southwest of Guantanamo, Cuba, producing maximum sustained winds of 160 mph, the National Hurricane Center reported.
Forecasts indicate a gradual shift in the storm's path towards the northwest and north today and tonight, with a potential rapid movement northeast starting Tuesday, which may continue until at least Thursday.
