Ranchi Traffic Reorganizes Ahead of Chhath Puja Festivities
The Ranchi traffic administration announced route diversions and vehicle movement restrictions to aid Chhath Puja celebrations on October 27-28. Heavy vehicles are rerouted, and movement for smaller vehicles is limited at peak hours. Authorities also established 13 parking spots for devotees' convenience.

The Ranchi traffic administration has revealed a series of route diversions and restrictions on vehicle movements in anticipation of the Chhath Puja celebrations beginning October 27. These measures, as outlined by officials, aim to ensure smooth festivities within the city.
Traffic diversions will commence at 8 am on October 27 and are expected to remain effective until the conclusion of the celebrations on October 28. During this period, the entry of heavy vehicles into the city will be restricted. The restrictions will apply from 8 am to 11 pm on October 27 and from 2 am to 10 am the following day, when heavy vehicles will be redirected via the Ring Road.
The movement of smaller vehicles, such as goods carriers, autorickshaws, and electric rickshaws, will also face limitations at specific times on October 27. Authorities identified 13 different parking locations, including Nagababa Khatal and CMPDI, to accommodate devotees attending the celebrations.
