The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has launched an ambitious campaign to tackle the escalating air pollution crisis in the capital. With manpower and machinery working tirelessly, the initiative includes diverse measures such as dust suppression and smog reduction, designed to enhance the city's air quality.

According to a statement from the Office of the Vice Chairperson on Tuesday, NDMC has actively engaged in efforts that focus on dust mitigation and encouraging citizen participation. To date, four mechanical road sweepers cover an area of 220 km daily with plans to increase coverage via additional CNG and battery-operated sweepers, reported Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal.

Furthermore, eight mobile anti-smog devices target key roadways each day, and the installation of mist spray systems has begun. The council has also implemented tree washing and plantation initiatives to further its environmental efforts.
