The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to double parking fees across its off-road and indoor sites, following a dip in the capital's air quality.

Triggering Stage-II 'Very Poor' measures, the Commission for Air Quality Management noted the city's AQI had reached alarming levels, touching 302 on Tuesday evening.

This move affects 102 sites managed by NDMC, significantly raising costs for four-wheelers and buses, as efforts continue to lessen pollution's grip on Delhi.
