Envoys to Islamabad: Diplomatic Game in Motion

U.S. President Donald Trump has dispatched his special envoy Steve Witkoff alongside son-in-law Jared Kushner to Islamabad this Saturday. The visit aims to facilitate peace talks between the United States and Iran, with Pakistan serving as a mediator, as confirmed by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt during an interview with Fox News.

Leavitt mentioned that backup teams remain ready to fly to Pakistan, indicating the high stakes of the diplomatic engagement. Witkoff and Kushner's primary role will be gathering intelligence and reporting back to President Trump, Vice President Pence, and their broader team upon their return.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is also slated to arrive in Islamabad on Friday to deliberate over potential proposals for reinitiating negotiations with the U.S. It's a strategic move that underscores the delicate and multifaceted nature of international diplomacy.
