Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami likened opposition celebrations following the defeat of the Constitution Bill, 2026, in Lok Sabha to scenes from the Mahabharata, comparing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Duryodhana.
Speaking at a BJP rally, Dhami accused the opposition of blocking women's rights through a 'dynastic syndicate' to maintain their political interests. He highlighted BJP's initiatives like 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' as empowering women since 2014.
Dhami urged the electorate to respond to nepotism in the upcoming elections, contrasting the BJP's commitment to women's rights with Congress's past failures.
