In a precautionary move, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised its nationals to refrain from traveling to Iran, whether by air or land. This advisory comes in response to the resumption of some flights between India and Iran amidst ongoing regional tensions.

The embassy highlighted the 'airspace restrictions and operational uncertainties' impacting international flights to and from Iran. Indians in Iran are urged to leave the country through designated land border routes in coordination with the embassy.

This advisory follows the US extending a ceasefire with Iran at Pakistan's request, amid regional conflict sparked by a US-Israel attack on Iran in February. Of the estimated 9,000 Indians present in Iran at the conflict's onset, around 1,800 have returned to India.
