Former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Nadendla Bhaskar Rao, passed away on Wednesday in Hyderabad at the age of 90. He was receiving treatment for age-related ailments at a super-speciality hospital when he breathed his last, as per a statement from the Jana Sena Party.
Rao, who led a notable coup against TDP founder N T Rama Rao in 1984, had a significant political career, serving as MLA, minister, and MP. His passing elicited condolences from prominent leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu, and others who recognized his contributions.
Reflecting on his political legacy, it was noted that Rao joined the BJP in 2019, marking yet another chapter in his varied political journey. His final rites will take place on April 24 in Panjagutta, Hyderabad, providing a moment for many to honor his memory.
