Congress Challenges BJP Over Women's Reservation Bill

Naseem Khan, Congress Working Committee member and former Maharashtra minister, has accused the BJP-led Centre of misleading the public regarding the women's reservation bill.

He highlighted that while the Congress supported the bill in 2023, the BJP allegedly created confusion by linking it to a constitutional amendment.

Khan contends that the BJP is using the bill to advance its political aims, asserting that genuine commitment to women's reservation is lacking. He calls for immediate implementation of the law to ensure women's representation in upcoming elections and stresses the need for transparent delimitation processes. Further criticizing the BJP, Khan questions its efforts in improving women's safety, hinting at contradictory policies.
