Ukraine Seeks Mediation: Zelenskiy and Putin Proposed Meeting in Turkey

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized the need for a neutral location, excluding Belarus or Russia, to potentially expedite the resolution of the ongoing conflict.

Ukraine has called on Turkey to host a crucial meeting between its President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. This initiative aims to breathe new life into the faltering peace talks between the two nations, as confirmed by a top Ukrainian diplomat.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Ukraine is keen on considering any neutral location for the meeting, aside from Belarus and Russia. The dialogue is intended to accelerate the resolution of the protracted war, which has surpassed the four-year mark.
There was no immediate reaction from Ankara regarding the proposal, as Sybiha outlined these details during a media briefing, cleared for dissemination to the public.
