In a post on X, the Central Command emphasized the ongoing enforcement of this blockade, which affects ships entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas.
This blockade was ordered by President Donald Trump on April 13 as part of an effort to exert pressure on Iran to reopen the strategically significant Strait of Hormuz. In reaction to the sustained blockade efforts, Iran has reinstated restrictions on strait transits.
