Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has fiercely criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi over alleged attempts to undermine the autonomy of Indian states. Speaking at an election rally, Stalin highlighted his party's protest against the proposed delimitation exercise, arguing that it threatens the federal structure of governance.
Stalin accused Modi of centralizing power, a stark deviation from the prime minister's earlier stance when he advocated for state rights as the Gujarat chief minister. The Chief Minister further criticized the BJP's push for women's reservation, labeling it a diversion from plans to impose a 'one country, one government' policy.
In addition, Stalin took aim at AIADMK leader Edapapdi K Palaniswami for supporting what he termed as 'injustice' through the delimitation agenda. Stalin urged self-respecting Tamils to resist any form of political overreach from Delhi, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding state rights against federal encroachment.
