Paving the Path to Stronger Ties: South Korean President's Strategic Visits to India and Vietnam

In a significant diplomatic move, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung is scheduled to visit India, marking the first visit by a South Korean leader to the nation in eight years. The visit, planned from April 19 to April 24, is hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This initiative aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in key areas including shipbuilding, artificial intelligence, and defense.

Business leaders from both countries will congregate at a roundtable in India, underscoring the economic focus of the visit. The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Korean Industries are instrumental in coordinating the delegation of approximately 200 executives, fostering an environment conducive to showcasing South Korean conglomerates such as Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Group, and LG Group.

Following his visit to India, President Lee will journey to Vietnam, continuing efforts to strengthen ties, particularly in the energy sector and global supply chains. Discussions with Vietnam's leadership aim to extend cultural and trade relations, reflecting a commitment to broaden mutual investments and collaborations on an international stage.
