In a significant political event, sixteen newly elected or re-elected members of the Rajya Sabha took their oath of office on Thursday, signifying a reshuffling of some political seats.
Vice-President of India and Chairman of Rajya Sabha C P Radhakrishnan administered the oath to these MPs representing critical states such as Bihar, Assam, Haryana, and more. The diverse representation includes eight MPs from the BJP, three from allied parties, and five from Congress.
Notably, BJP's Nitin Nabin moved to the Upper House after serving in the Bihar legislative assembly. This event, characterized by oath-taking ceremonies in various languages, marks a notable reshaping of India's political sphere.
