Nitin Nabin, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, was among the newly elected members who took the oath as Rajya Sabha MPs on Thursday. Under the resonant sound of desk thumping, each member was sworn in a ceremony that marked the launch of their parliamentary responsibilities.
The newly inducted MPs hailed from multiple Indian states, bringing a blend of political backgrounds into the Rajya Sabha. Among them, representatives from regions such as Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Maharashtra were sworn in.
The ceremony witnessed members from various political parties like BJP, Congress, and UPP-L taking an oath in Hindi. Members like Terash Gowalla, Jogen Mohan, and Pramod Boro represented Assam, while others represented a wide array of states, adding to the Rajya Sabha's diverse political tapestry.
