J&K Legislative Assembly: A Session of Record and Reflection

The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die on Saturday after a well-conducted budget session under Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather. The session included 22 sittings, making it the second-highest tally among states, following Gujarat. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was commended for his active participation.

Throughout the sessions, the assembly passed various government bills and addressed numerous questions and resolutions, demonstrating a strong democratic spirit. Detailed discussions facilitated the passing of eight government bills, and 24 private members' bills were addressed. A total of 1,379 questions were processed, with a significant focus on accountability and transparency.

Speaker Rather praised the effort of the members and the Chief Minister's commitment to handling challenging responsibilities.
