Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee launched a blistering critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during an election rally in West Bengal's Bankura district on Thursday. He accused the BJP of relying on 'rejected elements' from other parties for the upcoming Assembly polls.

Addressing the rally at Taldangra, Banerjee stated, "Keeping the BJP is like living with an ulcer, removing it is like curing cancer," urging voters to reject the saffron party. He criticized the BJP for promoting individuals sidelined by TMC to prominent positions.

Highlighting TMC's manifesto, Banerjee stressed promises of development, including setting up a bridge over the Shilabati river and a super-speciality hospital in Taldangra. He challenged the BJP to present their achievements at the national level, expressing confidence in TMC's victory in the elections.
