Sweden's Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, announced intentions to forge a majority government that includes the controversial Sweden Democrats if his Moderates party triumphs in the forthcoming election slated for September 13.
With the centre-left bloc dominating current polls, the right-wing groups must unite to challenge for government control. Kristersson confirmed, "Post-election, a four-party majority government is our target," he declared at a press briefing, asserting his envisaged leadership role.
In a stark political realignment, Kristersson proposes influential roles for the Sweden Democrats, despite their contentious origins. Party leader Jimmie Akesson emphasized the coalition's stability guarantee, highlighting a strategic shift as the opposition seeks necessary parliamentary backing.
