On Monday, BJD MP Sasmit Patra emphasized the urgency for the US, Israel, and Iran to engage in negotiations amid the escalating conflict in West Asia. In a statement to ANI, Patra described the ongoing conflict as increasingly troubling and underscored the necessity for the involved nations to pursue a negotiated settlement. He cautioned against the prolonged nature of the conflict, which may reverse economic progress made since the pandemic and incite global geopolitical polarization.

A detailed briefing on India's perspective and strategies concerning the West Asia conflict was provided to parliamentarians by the Prime Minister's Office and the Cabinet Secretary.
