Delhi High Court Directs ECI to Consider K Kavitha's Political Party Registration

The Delhi High Court addressed the plea by former BRS MLC K Kavitha regarding the registration of her political party, Telangana Praja Jagruti. The court directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to consider her application promptly.

K Kavitha desires her party's registration to be completed before the forthcoming local body elections in Telangana. Despite acknowledging Kavitha's request for a timeline, the court refrained from imposing a deadline on the ECI, citing their extensive electoral duties nationwide.

K Kavitha's political journey took a pivotal turn after her suspension from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in 2025, following discord involving family and party leaders. Undeterred, she has been advocating public causes and aspires to leverage her newly-formed political platform in future elections.
