The political landscape in Kerala is gearing up for the 2026 Assembly Elections as the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a key player, announces a candidate list showcasing inclusive representation. TP Ashraf Ali, an IUML candidate from the Kondotty constituency, stated that the party is well-prepared for the upcoming electoral battle.

Significantly, the announcement also marks a strategic shift for senior IUML leader PK Kunhalikutty, moving from Vengara to contest the Malappuram constituency. The list also highlights other key figures, including KM Shaji in Vengara, Faisal Babu in Kozhikode South, and Fathima Tehliyya in Perambra, reflecting the party's diverse representation strategy.
