Shiv Pratap Shukla Takes Office as Telangana's New Governor

In a significant political development, Shiv Pratap Shukla was inaugurated as the fifth Governor of Telangana on Wednesday. The oath of office was administered by Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh at Lok Bhavan, with the ceremony attended by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his Cabinet colleagues.

A seasoned politician, Shukla brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. His political journey began with the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1983. He was elected as an MLA in multiple terms and later served as a Union Minister of State for Finance.

Shukla's arrival in Telangana was marked by a warm welcome from Chief Minister Reddy. As he steps into his new role, expectations are high for his governance, given his extensive experience and political acumen. Shukla takes over the position from Jishnu Dev Varma, promising to bring stability and progress to the state's administration.
