The Pentagon has announced that approximately 140 US service members have been injured over a span of 10 days due to ongoing tensions with Iran. Of these, the majority have suffered only minor injuries, with 108 personnel able to resume their duties, according to a statement by Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.
Currently, eight service members have been reported as severely injured. This marks the first comprehensive insight into the injuries sustained by US troops following a series of retaliatory rocket and drone strikes initiated by Iran.
The conflicts have also resulted in the death of seven soldiers stationed in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the significant impact of the ongoing hostilities in the region.
